  13. I'm having problems with the internal floppy drive of my
  14. A1200. It's light is always on, and it can't be used.
  15. Sometimes my Workbench displays four floppy-drives, although
  16. I have only one external one. Ie. DF0, DF1, DF2 and DF3...

  18. My external drive works fine most of the time, but sometimes it
  19. hangs after floppy change. I think this is caused by the internal drive
  20. getting the controller out of order.

  22. Also my boot-up-time has increased with perhaps upto half a minute because
  23. of this, I think it's the controller who tries to connect to the floppy,
  24. but can't since the floppy is bad. I't hangs for a while where normally it's
  25. reading the floppy to check if it's a bootdisk.

  27. My question:
  28. Since I need to use my Amiga, and can't send it off to be repaired, is
  29. it possible to disconnect this drive from the restt of the system?

  31. Can I just disconnect a lead, or is it more complicated?

  33. Since I'm no HW hacker, could it be that it's the controller that's bad?
